"Hi there to whoever is reading this. My name is Denise Ohs and I competed in a Biggest Loser competition run by the Central Canterbury News. Denise
Apart
from a bit of tiredness I felt great! The regular exercise gave me a
lot more energy and by following a low GI eating plan I found I lost my
wicked craving for chocolate!

Work/Life Success workshops
As a mother, you will know how difficult it can be juggling numerous roles and responsibilities while raising children, working part- or full-time and managing a home or business.
Parenting specialist and life coach Karyn Riley is passionate about supporting and connecting working and stay-at-home mothers and is launching a series of group workshops in Christchurch from September, providing support, motivation, information and inspiration specifically for mums, helping them achieve their personal and professional goals.
Initial workshop:
The 3 S’s of Work/Life Success: self-care, setting goals and support
Date: Tuesday 7th September 9:30am - 11am
Venue: Addington Coffee Co-op meeting room, 297 Lincoln Road, Addington
Cost: $25.00
Parking and refreshments are available on-site.
Attendance numbers are limited to 10 so be in quick to register.
The first half hour will allow time to meet and connect with other like-minded women, followed by a one hour workshop, facilitated by Karyn Riley. The workshop is designed to help you establish a strong foundation for finding balance between work/home and family.
The workshop will be both interactive and participative, including action-based outcomes and time to identify and set at least one personal and professional goal for you to take away and work on.
For those keen to continue, a group workshop series will follow this initial workshop, with peer/buddy support and email/telephone support from Karyn available between sessions.
Series workshops topics will include confidence, work/life balance, ‘me’ time, vision and goal setting, motivation, getting organised, time and business/home management, overcoming guilt, limiting beliefs and procrastination, and other topics of interest highlighted at the initial workshop.
Pre-booking and pre-payment is essential.
